Description

A vibrant Blue Raspberry Ice Slushie made with frozen blue raspberryโ€‘flavored liquid, crushed ice, and a splash of lime for a bright, icy, candyโ€‘like frozen drink that tastes like a classic blue raspberry slush from your favorite snack bar.


Ingredients

2 cups cold water

1/2 cup granulated sugar (or sugarโ€‘free sweetener to taste)

1 packet blue raspberry or mixed berry drink mix (or 2โ€“3 teaspoons blue raspberry syrup)

4โ€“5 cups ice cubes

Optional: 1โ€“2 teaspoons fresh lime juice for a pop of tartness


Instructions

1. In a large bowl or pitcher, combine the cold water and sugar (or sugarโ€‘free sweetener).

2. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3. Add the blue raspberry drink mix (or syrup) and lime juice if using, and stir again until completely blended.

4. Add the mixture to a highโ€‘speed blender along with about half the ice cubes and blend until smooth.

5. Add the remaining ice and blend again until the drink reaches a thick, slushie texture that clings to the sides of the glass.

6. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, optionally garnished with a lime wedge or a paper umbrella for a retroโ€‘cool vibe.

Notes

For a more natural version, use a raspberryโ€‘blueberry juice blend and a natural blue food coloring or omit the color entirely.

If you have a slushโ€‘making machine, freeze the flavored liquid first, then churn it into slush according to the manufacturerโ€™s instructions.
