Description

A frosty, ultra-thick Brazilian Lemonade Slushie blending fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, and plenty of ice for the ultimate frozen summer treat.

Ingredients

3 medium limes, washed and quartered

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk

4 to 5 cups ice cubes

Instructions

1. Add the quartered limes and cold water to a blender.

2. Pulse the mixture for 10 to 15 seconds to extract the lime juice without making it bitter.

3. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing to release all the juice, and discard the leftover lime solids.

4. Return the strained lime water to the blender.

5. Add the sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes.

6. Blend on high until the mixture reaches a thick, frosty slushie consistency, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use extra ice to achieve the thick, scoopable slushie texture.

Do not over-blend the limes in the first step to prevent the white pith from turning the drink bitter.

Substitute sweetened condensed coconut milk for a dairy-free version.

Serve immediately, as the slushie will melt and turn bitter if stored.
