Description
These cranberry cream cheese crescent bites are a cozy holiday favorite golden, flaky pastry filled with tangy cream cheese and sweet cranberry sauce. They’re the kind of warm, bite-sized treat that disappears fast at any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar for brushing (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and press the seams together. Cut into small squares or triangles.
- Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each piece, then top with 1/2 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
- Sprinkle with orange zest or nuts if desired.
- Fold the corners toward the center or roll up tightly.
- Arrange on the baking sheet and brush lightly with honey or sugar if you like a sweet finish.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving the filling will be warm and creamy inside.
Notes
You can prepare these up to a day ahead and refrigerate before baking.
Puff pastry can be used instead of crescent dough for extra flakiness.
Reheat leftovers in the oven at 325°F for 5–6 minutes to keep them crisp.
These pair beautifully with my baked brie idea or this creamy cranberry cheese dip
