Description

These cranberry cream cheese crescent bites are a cozy holiday favorite golden, flaky pastry filled with tangy cream cheese and sweet cranberry sauce. They’re the kind of warm, bite-sized treat that disappears fast at any holiday gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar for brushing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and press the seams together. Cut into small squares or triangles.
  3. Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each piece, then top with 1/2 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  4. Sprinkle with orange zest or nuts if desired.
  5. Fold the corners toward the center or roll up tightly.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet and brush lightly with honey or sugar if you like a sweet finish.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving the filling will be warm and creamy inside.

Notes

You can prepare these up to a day ahead and refrigerate before baking.

Puff pastry can be used instead of crescent dough for extra flakiness.

Reheat leftovers in the oven at 325°F for 5–6 minutes to keep them crisp.

These pair beautifully with my baked brie idea or this creamy cranberry cheese dip
