Description
A smooth and creamy Creamy Vanilla Lemon Slushie made with fresh lemonade, a touch of vanilla, and vanilla ice cream blended into a frosty, milkโshakeโlike frozen drink that tastes like a lemonโvanilla frosty in slushie form.
Ingredients
2 cups lemonade (homemade or goodโquality storeโbought)
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups ice cubes
2 large scoops vanilla ice cream (or dairyโfree vanilla ice cream for a vegan version)
Instructions
1. Pour the lemonade and vanilla extract into a highโspeed blender and stir briefly to combine.
2. Add the ice cubes and blend on high until the mixture is slushy and well incorporated.
3. Add the scoops of vanilla ice cream and blend again until smooth, creamy, and thick, scraping down the sides if needed.
4. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired; add a little more lemonade or honey/simple syrup if needed.
5. Pour immediately into chilled glasses, garnished with a thin lemon slice or a twist of lemon peel for a bright, creamy finish.
Notes
For a richer, more dessertโstyle slushie, increase the amount of vanilla ice cream slightly and reduce the ice or lemonade.
To make it alcoholโfree but more adultโtasting, add a splash of vanilla bean syrup or a bit more vanilla extract without extra sweetness.
Serve immediately, as the ice cream will melt quickly and the texture will thin out if left to sit.
