Description
The ultimate party appetizer! This creamy, cheesy, and spicy slow cooker dip tastes just like buffalo wings without the mess. Perfect for game day, parties, or a fun snack dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie or canned)
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Tortilla chips and veggie sticks for serving
Instructions
- Combine Base: In a small slow cooker (1.5 – 3 quart), combine the softened cream cheese, hot sauce, ranch dressing, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth.
- Add Chicken & Cheese: Stir in the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
- Slow Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the dip is hot and the cheese is melted. Stir halfway through.
- Finish: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and cook for another 15 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery, and carrots.
Notes
Make Ahead: You can mix all the ingredients in the crockpot insert and store it in the fridge the night before. Just add 30 minutes to the cooking time.
Oven Method: Bake at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
Chicken Tip: Canned chicken works great for a pantry staple version just drain it well first!
