Description
Tender, smoky, and perfectly caramelized, these Easy Oven Baked Chipotle BBQ Ribs deliver all the flavor of outdoor barbecue right from your oven.
Ingredients
2 racks St. Louis-style pork ribs (4–5 lbs total)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chipotle chili powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Remove membrane from ribs, pat dry, and rub with olive oil.
- Combine brown sugar, spices, salt, and pepper. Rub over ribs.
- Wrap ribs in foil and bake for 2½–3 hours until tender.
- Mix barbecue sauce, chipotle, honey, vinegar, and Worcestershire in a saucepan. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
- Remove ribs from oven, brush with glaze, and bake uncovered at 425°F (220°C) for 10–15 minutes.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra smoky flavor, add a dash of liquid smoke to the sauce. Ribs can be prepared ahead, refrigerated, and glazed just before serving.
