Guava Brazilian Lemonade

If you want to create a drink that tastes like it was poured at a luxury beach resort, this tropical guava twist is the ultimate secret weapon. The first time I blended sweet, floral guava nectar with my classic zesty, creamy lime base, my kitchen instantly smelled like a Caribbean vacation. It takes under five minutes to whip up this impossibly smooth, pale-pink pitcher that will have everyone begging you for the recipe.

Why Youโ€™ll Love It

The deeply aromatic, musky sweetness of the guava perfectly complements the sharp, bitter notes of the blended lime peels. It creates a lush, velvety texture that feels incredibly decadent while remaining completely refreshing on a hot afternoon. This gorgeous, tropical drink offers a beautiful, exotic flavor profile that elevates any standard backyard gathering into a special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 medium fresh limes
  • 2 cups chilled guava nectar or juice
  • 1 cup cold filtered water
  • 1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice cubes

How to Make It

  1. Wash the limes meticulously, chop off both ends, and slice them into small wedges leaving the green peel on.
  2. Toss the lime wedges, cold guava nectar, filtered water, condensed milk, and ice into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend the ingredients on high power for exactly 20 to 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the frothy, pink mixture immediately through a fine-mesh strainer into a large serving pitcher.
  5. Press the liquid gently through with a spoon, discard the remaining pulp, and serve immediately over glasses full of ice.

Variations & Serving Ideas

  • Guava Slushie: Freeze the guava nectar into ice cubes beforehand and blend everything into a thick, frozen treat.
  • Tropical Sunrise: Drizzle a little strawberry syrup down the sides of the glass before pouring to create a beautiful sunrise effect.
  • Rum Punch: Add a splash of dark rum or coconut rum for an incredible, island-inspired adult cocktail.
  • Garnish: Serve with a fresh lime wheel and a slice of fresh starfruit or pineapple on the rim.
  • Pairings: Serve alongside crispy coconut shrimp, Hawaiian chicken skewers, or fresh ceviche.

Description

A sweet, floral, and tropical Guava Brazilian Lemonade combining fresh limes, lush guava puree, and sweetened condensed milk for an incredibly creamy and refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

3 medium limes, washed and quartered

1 cup guava puree or guava nectar

3 cups cold water

1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

1. Add the quartered limes and cold water to a high-speed blender.

2. Pulse the mixture for exactly 10 to 15 seconds to extract the lime juice without drawing out the bitter oils from the pith.

3. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher and discard the leftover lime solids.

4. Return the strained lime water to the rinsed blender.

5. Add the guava puree, sweetened condensed milk, and ice cubes.

6. Blend on high until smooth, beautifully pink, and frothy, then serve immediately in chilled glasses.

Notes

If using sweetened guava nectar instead of unsweetened puree, you may want to reduce the condensed milk slightly to taste.

Do not over-blend the limes in the first step, or the drink will become bitter.

Substitute sweetened condensed coconut milk for a dairy-free tropical version.

Serve immediately over ice, as the drink will separate and the lime peel oils can turn bitter if stored.
