Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
2 tablespoons rose water
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/3 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup hot water (for lavender syrup)
3 cups cold water
1 cup ice cubes
Dried rose petals and lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
1. Add dried culinary lavender into a small bowl and pour hot water over it.
2. Add honey or simple syrup and stir until fully dissolved.
3. Steep for 10 minutes then strain out the lavender and let the syrup cool completely.
4. Pour fresh lemon juice into a large pitcher and add lemon zest.
5. Add the cooled lavender syrup, rose water, and ground cardamom.
6. Pour in cold water and stir everything together until well combined.
7. Taste and adjust rose water or sweetness carefully โ rose water is very potent.
8. Fill glasses with ice, pour the lemonade over the ice, garnish with dried rose petals and serve immediately.
Notes
Add rose water one teaspoon at a time and taste as you go โ too much makes the drink taste like soap.
Ground cardamom adds a warm exotic spice note โ start with a small pinch and adjust to your taste.
Use culinary grade dried lavender and food grade rose water only for the best and safest flavor.
