Description
A bright and juicy Mango Tango Slushie made with frozen mango, orange juice, and a splash of lime for a smooth, frosty, tropicalโtangy drink that tastes like a mangoโorange smoothie shaken up into slushie form.
Ingredients
2 cups frozen mango chunks (about 3 medium mangoes)
1 cup orange juice (fresh or goodโquality storeโbought)
1/4 cup water or coconut water
1โ2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 teaspoon)
3โ4 cups ice cubes
Instructions
1. Place the frozen mango, orange juice, water (or coconut water), honey or simple syrup, and lime juice into a highโspeed blender.
2. Blend on high until smooth and mostly creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.
3. Add the ice cubes and blend again until the mixture reaches a thick, slushie texture that clings to the sides of the glass.
4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding a little more honey or a splash more orange juice if needed.
5. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, optionally garnished with a mango slice and an orange wheel for a true โMango Tangoโ look.
Notes
For a creamier slushie, add 1/4 cup coconut milk or yogurt and blend until smooth.
You can turn this into a cocktail by adding a splash of white rum or mangoโflavored liqueur before the final blend.
If the slushie is too thick, add a splash more orange juice; if too thin, add more ice and blend briefly.
