Mint & Lime Brazilian Lemonade

If there is one flavor combination that instantly cures the sweltering summer heat, it is the cooling union of fresh mint and zesty lime. The first time I tossed a generous handful of fresh mint leaves into my classic creamy Brazilian lemonade blender, the kitchen smelled like an absolute dream. It takes less than five minutes to whip up this incredibly herbaceous, frothy pitcher that feels like a trip to a high-end spa.

Why Youโ€™ll Love It

The natural, cooling menthol from the fresh mint completely elevates the bright, aromatic bite of the blended lime peels. It cuts right through the rich, velvety texture of the sweetened condensed milk, making the drink feel impossibly light and refreshing on the palate. This gorgeous, pale-green beverage is the ultimate thirst-quencher that looks and tastes like a luxurious mocktail.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 medium fresh limes
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves
  • 3 cups cold filtered water
  • 1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice cubes

How to Make It

  1. Wash the limes thoroughly, trim off the ends, and slice them into small wedges while leaving the green peel intact.
  2. Place the lime wedges, fresh mint leaves, cold water, condensed milk, and ice into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend the ingredients on high power for exactly 20 to 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the frothy mixture immediately through a fine-mesh strainer into a large serving pitcher.
  5. Press the liquid gently through with a spoon, discard the remaining pulp, and serve immediately over glasses full of ice.

Variations & Serving Ideas

  • Mojito Style: Add a splash of white rum for a creamy, refreshing adult cocktail.
  • Sparkling Finish: Top off each glass with a splash of club soda for a bubbly lift.
  • Frozen Treat: Blend the strained liquid with two extra cups of ice for a thick minty slushie.
  • Garnish: Serve with a sprig of fresh mint and a thin lime wheel on the rim.
  • Pairings: Serve alongside fresh Mediterranean salads, grilled lamb skewers, or spicy Thai noodles.

Description

An ultra-refreshing twist on Limonada Suรญรงa, blending fresh whole limes, cooling mint leaves, and rich sweetened condensed milk for a creamy, herbaceous, and perfectly frosty summer drink.

Ingredients

3 medium limes, washed and quartered

1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, packed

4 cups cold water

1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

1. Place the quartered limes, fresh mint leaves, and cold water into a high-speed blender.

2. Pulse the mixture for exactly 10 to 15 seconds to release the citrus oils and mint flavor without extracting the bitter pith.

3. Pour the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or bowl, pressing the solids to extract all the juice.

4. Discard the remaining lime and mint solids.

5. Return the strained mint-lime water to the rinsed blender.

6. Add the sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes, blending on high until smooth, frothy, and pale green, then serve immediately.

Notes

Do not over-blend the limes in the first step to prevent the white pith from turning the drink bitter.

The fresh mint adds a cooling, mojito-like flavor that pairs beautifully with the creamy base.

Substitute sweetened condensed coconut milk for a completely dairy-free tropical version.

Serve immediately over ice, as the drink will separate and turn bitter if stored.
