Description
A golden Peach Sunset Slushie made with ripe peaches, a splash of citrus, and plenty of ice for a softโorange, creamyโfrosty drink that tastes like a warm summer evening in a glass.
Ingredients
2 large ripe peaches, peeled and pitted, then frozen or 2 cups frozen peach slices
1/2 cup peach nectar or orange juice
1/4 cup simple syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)
Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon)
3โ4 cups ice cubes
Instructions
1. If using fresh peaches, cut them into chunks and freeze for at least 2 hours before blending.
2. Place the frozen peaches, peach nectar (or orange juice), simple syrup (or sugar), and lime juice into a highโspeed blender.
3. Blend on high until smooth and the mixture is thick and creamy.
4. Add the ice cubes and blend again until the drink reaches a slushie texture that clings to the sides of the glass.
5. Taste and adjust by adding a little more syrup if you prefer it sweeter or a splash more juice if itโs too thick.
6. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, garnished with a peach slice or orange wedge for a sunsetโstyle look.
Notes
For a smoother slushie, use fully frozen peaches and a powerful blender.
You can make this nonโalcoholic or turn it into a cocktail by adding a splash of peach schnapps, white rum, or vodka before blending.
If the slushie is too thick, add an extra splash of juice or water and blend briefly to loosen the texture.
