Description

This Simple Blueberry Mint Lemonade with Lime blends sweet blueberries with cool fresh mint, bright lemon juice, and a splash of tangy lime for a light, herbโ€‘infused lemonade with a crisp, refreshing finish that feels perfect on a hot summer day. The mint lifts the blueberry flavor while the lime adds a zesty brightness that keeps every sip lively. This lemonade comes together in just ten minutes.

Ingredients

1.5 cups fresh blueberries

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

10 fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)

1/4 cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

3 cups cold water

1 cup ice cubes

Fresh blueberries, lime wheels, and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

1. Add fresh blueberries and mint leaves into a highโ€‘speed blender and blend until completely smooth.

2. Strain the blueberry mint puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher and discard all seeds and solids.

3. Pour in fresh lemon juice and fresh lime juice.

4. Add lemon zest, simple syrup or honey, and cold water.

5. Stir everything together until well combined.

6. Taste and adjust sweetness, lime, or lemon juice as needed.

7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the lemonade over the ice, garnish with lime wheels, mint sprigs, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh mint leaves and blend briefly to avoid a bitter flavor from overโ€‘processing the mint.

Ripe, deeply colored blueberries give the sweetest flavor and the most vivid violet color.

Lime juice adds a bright, citrusy twist that balances the sweetness of the blueberries and honey.

Strain the blueberry mint puree thoroughly to remove all seeds and fibers for the smoothest texture.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 days โ€” stir well before serving as natural separation occurs.
