Description
This Simple Blueberry Raspberry Lemonade blends sweet blueberries with tangy raspberries and bright lemon juice into a vibrant, jewelโtoned lemonade with a complex berry flavor that feels both bold and refreshingly tart. The combination of blueberry and raspberry creates a deeper, more layered berry taste than either berry alone. This lemonade is quick to make and ready in just ten minutes.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
3 cups cold water
1 cup ice cubes
Fresh blueberries, raspberries, and lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
1. Add blueberries and raspberries into a highโspeed blender and blend until completely smooth.
2. Strain the berry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher and discard all seeds and solids.
3. Pour in fresh lemon juice and add lemon zest.
4. Add simple syrup or honey and cold water.
5. Stir everything together until well combined.
6. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as needed.
7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the lemonade over the ice, garnish with fresh blueberries, raspberries, and lemon slices and serve immediately.
Notes
Ripe blueberries and raspberries give the sweetest flavor and the most vivid deepโpurple color.
Frozen berries work perfectly here and are a great option when fresh are not in season.
Doubleโstrain the blended berry puree to remove all tiny seeds for the smoothest texture.
This lemonade tastes best served immediately while the color and aroma are at their brightest.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 days โ stir well before serving as natural separation occurs.
