  • Author: danyrecipes

  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

This Lemonade with Cantaloupe and Mint blends sweet, fragrant cantaloupe with cool fresh mint and bright lemon into a light, golden lemonade with a delicate honeyed sweetness and a crisp, refreshing finish that makes it one of the most unique and elegant summer drinks you will ever taste. The mint lifts the mild cantaloupe beautifully and adds a cooling contrast that keeps every sip lively. You need just ten minutes to make this gorgeous cantaloupe mint lemonade.

Ingredients

3 cups fresh cantaloupe chunks (peeled and seeded)

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

12 fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)

1/4 cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

2 cups cold water

1 cup ice cubes

Cantaloupe balls and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

1. Add cantaloupe chunks and fresh mint leaves into a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.

2. Strain the cantaloupe mint puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher and discard all solids.

3. Pour in fresh lemon juice and add lemon zest.

4. Add simple syrup or honey and cold water.

5. Stir everything together until well combined.

6. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as needed.

7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the lemonade over the ice, garnish with cantaloupe balls and mint sprigs and serve immediately.

Notes

Choose a fully ripe, fragrant cantaloupe โ€” a sweet aroma at the stem end means it is perfectly ripe.

Cantaloupe is naturally high in water content so reduce the added water if you prefer a bolder flavor.

Do not over-blend the mint or it will turn the lemonade bitter โ€” a quick blend is all it needs.

This lemonade is naturally low in calories and packed with vitamins A and C for a nutritious treat.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 days โ€” stir well before serving as natural separation occurs.
