Description

Elegant, easy, and full of flavor these smoked salmon bites combine creamy dill spread, buttery smoked salmon, and crisp bases for the perfect appetizer or light meal.


Ingredients

6 oz smoked salmon, thinly sliced

1 English cucumber, sliced into rounds (or 1 baguette, sliced and toasted)

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

1 tbsp chopped fresh dill

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp capers (optional)

Extra dill and lemon zest, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Slice cucumber or toast baguette rounds for the base.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the mixture on each base.
  4. Top with smoked salmon slices.
  5. Garnish with dill, capers, and extra lemon zest.
  6. Chill briefly before serving.

Notes

Substitute avocado or Greek yogurt for cream cheese for a lighter twist.

Assemble just before serving to keep the base crisp.
