Description

Classic guacamole dip is a creamy, tangy avocado dip made with fresh lime juice, cilantro, onion, and a hint of jalapeรฑo for a touch of heat.


Ingredients

3 ripe avocados

2 tbsp lime juice

1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, diced

1/2 jalapeรฑo, seeded and finely diced

2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Lime wedges (optional, for serving)


Instructions

1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

2. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth with a few small chunks remaining.

3. Stir in lime juice, red onion, tomatoes, jalapeรฑo, and cilantro.

4. Season with salt and black pepper.

5. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, and salads.

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocados for the best texture.

Add the lime juice right away to help prevent browning.
