Description

Loaded fajita dip is a warm, cheesy crowdโ€‘pleasing dip inspired by fajita flavors, featuring sautรฉed bell peppers and onions, seasoned beef or chicken, sour cream, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or shredded chicken

2 tbsp fajita seasoning

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1/2 red onion, sliced

1/2 cup sour cream

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Green onions or cilantro (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or chicken over medium heat until browned, then stir in fajita seasoning.

2. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion and sautรฉ until softened and lightly caramelized.

3. In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.

4. Mix the cooked meat and vegetables into the cream cheese mixture.

5. Stir in half the shredded cheddar cheese and season with salt and pepper.

6. Transfer to an ovenโ€‘safe dish, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 15โ€“20 minutes until hot and bubbly.

7. Garnish with green onions or cilantro, and serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

Use preโ€‘sliced vegetables for faster prep.

This dip is excellent for gameโ€‘day parties or taco nights.
